This yearโs theme, "Guyana in Bloom: 25 Years of Discovery โ Telling Our Story Through the Pages of Explore Guyana," reflected the milestone launch of the 25th edition of Explore Guyana magazine and the unveiling of our revamped website. www.exploreguyana.org
The evening featured a keynote address by Prime Minister Brigadier (Retโd) Mark Anthony Phillips, who spoke on the ongoing growth and transformation of the tourism and hospitality sector.
Guests were treated to a vibrant cocktail hour with live violin music by Anelys, creating the perfect ambiance for networking and celebration. The ceremony was expertly hosted by Mr. Russell Lancaster, our Master of Ceremonies for the night.
The highlight of the evening was the recognition of outstanding members of our industryโindividuals and businesses who continue to elevate the standard of tourism in Guyana. Awardees were voted for by their peers, and in some categories, by the public. This year, THAG introduced two new awards: Customer Service Excellence Award, and Tourism Impact Award for Culture, Sport & Entertainment.
